My name is Ioana and I have a girl named Antoaneta who is 2 years and 10 months old. Our lives have not been easy. I lost hope that I would ever be able to give a quiet home with no shortages, in a friendly environment with no aggressiveness to my little girl. I was very lucky to meet the ladies at the Maternal Center as they encouraged me not to lose hope and gave my daughter and me a home when everyone rejected us.

I would have done anything to be able to have the financial support I needed, but I just didn’t know what to do. The team we found here helped me sign up for a hairdressing training course and I am currently working in a beauty center as an assistant to the hairstylist.

At the Center they have a wonderful project where we paint and make unique jewels. I am attached by every jewel I made and the ladies here helped me free myself of my inner pain and worry while working and creating something beautiful.

They have given us the possibility to attend courses and seminars where we learn how to be good parents and stop seeing ourselves as worthless people to this society.

From August 2012 until October 2013, the timeframe of our residency here at Hagar Home Center, I regained my hope and self-trust. It has been the most beautiful time of my life.

From October 2013 until now I have lived in the Agape transition apartment of Hagar Home where I am continually supported by these wonderful people only God can repay for such effort and patience.

Gratefully,

Ioana
